Dream Catcher Yarn-Feather-Leather Shield MandellaChico ArtsHandmade EUC 27”long.   With our nimble fingers and warm heart we made this for someone like you. May it bring all the things it's supposed to.   Chico arts in 1983 working with Indians from the TIGUA and Navajo tribes created the original Mandela That is known throughout the world many other people are producing and selling copies of our Mandela's but Chico's are the original ones.  The Mandela symbolizes the Indian shield of good lock.  With this shield they believe the gods would protect them and by having one and their homes it would bring them prosperity good health and happiness.  The shield was a prized possession for the plains Indians with each part having a special meaning.  We have recreated this unique work of art with a superb sense of design and subtle balance.  This is an original handmade Mandela made of natural sheep's wool rabbit fur leather wood pheasant and Turkey feathers beads and conchos.   Condition is "New".
