This is a fine quality ‘Nemaki’ Yukata Kimono.
It is made of 100% cotton with a gauze lining. This is an all-season type used by guests at inns, hotels and hot spring resorts all over Japan.
This item is unsued but was a stored for a number of years so the packaging may show shelf-wear or otherwise not be perfect.
This garment has fading at from exposure to light- see details and photos.
Nemaki are usually made in traditional geometric or floral patterns. Most wrap and tie with the sash at the waist like a
bathrobe
. In Japan, hotel guests sleep in them but also wear them around the hotel and even in the streets of Onsen hot sping resorts
