type used for formal occasions but can be worn with bright colors in modern kitsuke. It would be striking with a red kimono!
This set is in lightly used condition with no apparent damage or defects.  The obijime is round tube type with tiny tassels and the obiage has a beautiful chrysnathemum pattern woven into the silk - it could also be used as a scarf. This set was probably made in the 1960’s. It is of fine quality - all original packaging included…

This is from a huge lot of vintage Japanese items that we have
acquired. They were stock from a shop in Kyoto that sold kimono accessories…
Most were produced in Japan in the 1970’s or 1980’s. This was before such items were made in other Asian countries as they usually are now.
Some are unused, like new or have stains or other damage so

the photos and read the description carefully before purchasing to determine the exact condition of this particular item and it

Note that due to reduced flights, JAPAN POST has suspended Air Parcel service to the USA, Australia and a few other countries (Europe is not effected). It is not known how long this will last but in the meantime, we are using JAPAN POST SURFACE mail which has tracking and insurance but can take about 60 days to the USA.
Alternatively, for an additional charge, YAMATO INTERNATIONAL offers extremely fast door to door service for a flat-rate for their various size boxes. The smallest “60cm” box is to most countries, can hold up to two kg and measures 27 X 19 X 19cm and arrives in about a week.
