This lovely item is made of fine white silk with a subtle bluish gradation and is hand beaded. It has probably never been used and is in excellent condition with no stains or other defects. It measures about 31cm or 12” wide and is 170cm or 66” long. Note that the tiny pinholes along the edge are from stretching the fabric in the embroidery/beading process and are not defects. It comes in its original box. This is an absolutely stunning item!

acquired. They were stock from a shop in Kyoto that sold kimono accessories…
Most were produced in Japan in the 1970’s or 1980’s. This was before such items were made in other Asian countries as they usually are now.
Some are unused, like new or have stains or other damage so

Note that due to reduced flights, JAPAN POST has suspended Air Parcel service to the USA, Australia and a few other countries (Europe is not effected). It is not known how long this will last but in the meantime, we are using JAPAN POST SURFACE mail which has tracking and insurance but can take about 60 days to the USA.
Alternatively, for an additional charge, YAMATO INTERNATIONAL offers extremely fast door to door service for a flat-rate for their various size boxes. The smallest “60cm” box is to most countries, can hold up to two kg and measures 27 X 19 X 19cm and arrives in about a week.
